The hospitality industry has always been looking for disruptive advantages to make their offering somewhat unique that will drive toward increased market share. The hotel guest is truly the most important customer that needs to be influenced and convinced to the point that personal favorite properties will result.
Making the guest experience pleasant, un-eventful, and cost effective will go a long way to attract all market segments. When we think of market share we need to think of guest experience. When we focus on the cost side of the business, efficiencies can be addressed, but impacting the guest experience will likely remain to be the top priority.
High quality wifi access, a comfortable bed, sift towels, and an attentive hotel staff will go a long way to increase repeat business.
